Family Communication Protocol

Purpose

Keep family communication structured without making it feel corporate. The goal is connection, not process.

Weekly Family Meeting

  • When: Sunday evening, 30 minutes max
  • Where: Dining table, devices away
  • Agenda:
    1. Wins — each person shares one highlight from the week
    2. Calendar — review the upcoming week together
    3. Needs — anything anyone needs help with
    4. Fun — plan one fun thing for the week

Shared Calendar Rules

  • All family events go in the shared calendar (not personal calendars)
  • 24-hour notice minimum for schedule changes
  • Color coding: Family (green), Kids (blue), Work (red), Health (yellow)

Emergency Contacts

Stored in 57 Legal (Documents)/ — emergency contact list, insurance info, medical info for each family member.

How the Haven Agent Helps

Haven monitors the shared calendar and sends morning briefings. If there’s a conflict (two events at the same time), Haven flags it before it becomes a problem.
